AT&T LEGACY T BARGAINING REPORT # 68

After extensive review of the company “Final Offer” your Bargaining Team met with the Company. The Union rejected the Company’s final offer of 5/22/18 - there were too many discrepancies and unanswered questions for us to make an honest assessment of the true impact on our members. The Bargaining Team passed several proposals, in several articles, as well as appendix A and discussion on the Puerto Rico Unit. The following are some of the proposals passed:

• Article 20 – Absence
• Employment Security
• Job Security
• Article 43 (force levels)
• Appendix 2 – Special City Allowance
• Appendix 6
• Success Sharing Plan
• ATTOP
• Funding the Alliance
• Card Check
• Duration

Although the Company did respond to several of our data requests, there are many outstanding. We need accurate information to assess the total impact on the membership. We made the Company aware of the additional Federal charges we plan to file and explained why we filed the Federal charges we have already filed.

We find their actions of direct dealing to be very misleading to the membership. We gave an example to the Company using the calculator they sent out to all the employees. In response to this they are going to offer a demonstration of the calculator to the committee tomorrow. We believe this is too little too late; they have already sent the calculator out to the membership without explanation, but we are willing to do whatever it takes to understand the true impacts of their proposals. We will patiently go and watch the demonstration.

Make no mistake - we will bargain until we get a fair and just contract for our members.

We are scheduled to meet tomorrow morning.
