Despite the pandemic forcing many to work from home and rely more heavily on communications services, AT&T is cutting thousands of technician and clerical jobs across the country over the next few weeks.

AT&T has informed the Communications Workers of America of its plans to cut over 3,400 technician and clerical jobs across the country over the next few weeks. In addition, the company plans to permanently shutter over 250 AT&T Mobility and Cricket Wireless stores, impacting 1,300 retail jobs.

CWA Reaches Tentative Agreement with AT&T Southwest Mobility

he Communications Workers of America (CWA) bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement with AT&T on a new four-year contract for Southwest Mobility workers. The CWA AT&T Southwest Mobility contract covers technicians, call center customer support workers, and representatives at AT&T's retail stores in Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas.
