Join the movement of IHX workers building power on the job with CWA!

Nationwide and state-by-state, In-Home Experts (IHX) at AT&T have the opportunity to join together into the AT&T Mobility Union with Communications Workers of America (CWA). Already, IHX workers in Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio and Washington have joined CWA. It's time IHX workers nationwide have a voice on the job around job security, wages, work-life balance and more! Get involved today!

What would IHX gain from being part of CWA?

IHX workers will gain a voice on the job and a legally-binding contract for our salaries, benefits, job security and working conditions. We will also gain power in numbers by joining the 45,000 CWA members working at AT&T.

The union contract covering you will depend on where you are located (See which AT&T Mobility contracts cover which states here).

What is the urgency to organize now?

This is the perfect time to organize, and there is some urgency to it. AT&T has agreed that we can organize right now, and has agreed to be completely neutral in the process so there will be no retaliation. However, in less than 2 years, this opportunity will end.

Can I be retaliated against for talking to my coworkers about supporting a union with CWA?

No. AT&T's policy and federal law protect our rights to support and speak to each other about the union at work while on break. AT&T is also officially neutral on employees joining together into the union, which applies to all managers. Mobility policy explicitly directs managers not to pressure or discourage us in any way from supporting the union. We are confident that there will be zero retaliation for signing a union card and becoming active in your union.
