Ashley is a proud member of NABET-CWA Local 59051 in San Francisco, California, where she works as a receptionist and office coordinator at KQED, a nonprofit media corporation. She is also a graduate of CWA's Minority Leadership Institute, where she studied labor history and organizing. When she’s not working, she loves reading history and watching movies with friends.
Ashley is new to union organizing and eager to join with other young CWA members to build solidarity among workers and revive a strong labor movement. “I’m driven by a strong belief in workers gaining economic and social justice in our workplaces and beyond,” Ashley said. “I know workers are the foundation of our economy and make our society run. It’s about time we are recognized as such.”
