CWA Thanks U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz for Introducing Treating Workers With Dignity Act
This week, U.S. Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) introduced the Treating Workers With Dignity Act, cosponsored by U.S. Senators Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.). The new bill would guarantee employees a break to eat a meal, use the restroom, or tend to their medical needs while on the job.

Disturbing reports from the Philippines indicate that military police have raided the regional offices of several progressive and union organizations in Bacolod, arresting union organizer Mary-Anne Krueger (known as Anne) as well as an organizer for the BPO Industry Employee Network (BIEN), who was subsequently released.
