The Communications Workers of America and AT&T have agreed to extend two contracts covering 24,000 technicians, call center customer support workers and representatives at AT&T's retail stores in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands.
The Communications Workers of America (CWA) filed comments Friday with the FCC raising serious concerns with the proposed acquisition of TracFone by Verizon. The comments urge the Commission to request more information from the companies to adequately review the impacts of the transaction and urge the FCC to impose specific conditions to protect Lifeline customers and customers in the MVNO market from anticompetitive harms.
