Our government makes decisions every day that affect the lives of women and their families. Women should vote to make sure those decisions support them. The Coalition of Labor Union Women have put together some links to help you stay informed.
On September 30, 2010,representatives of Cal/OSH, UCLA, and UPTE-CWA Local 9119 signed a settlement agreement re. Cal/OSHA identified laboratory safety violations. The settlement includes an aggressive abatement program and timeline that UCLA must meet. In addition, the settlement indicates UPTE must be included in this process and fines UCLA a total of $36,930 (following adjustments after modifications to the original citations).
I?ve just learned that I provided incorrect information to some of you with respect to whether all eligible employees, enrolled in the Point of Service Medical Plan or in an HMO, are eligible to have the SSP money deposited in an HRA.
