Following up on the well-received presentation at our 2011 CWA National Women’s Conference, author Brigid O’Farrell has completed a terrific Workshop Guide: “Why Women Should Join Unions: Organizing and Leading with Eleanor Roosevelt.” As promised, she is sharing it with all of us at CWA as it goes public, so we have a great opportunity and tool now to assist in building activities towards organizing and leadership development with a uniquely woman’s point of view. Each of our Women’s Committees will find this extremely useful – as will other committees engaged in organizing and leadership development. You are encouraged to distribute as use widely at all levels of our union. You are also encouraged to catch Brigid’s useful Facebook Page. Together, we can and will build a stronger movement, this Guide and FB Page simplifies our outreach.
