Last week, NewsGuild-CWA members employed by the union headquarters for United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) International walked out on strike for the first time in the unit’s history.

CWA Local 1037 members who provide in-home care for children delivered a petition signed by nearly 100 family child care providers to 4Cs, detailing the unfair treatment and lack of respect.

An astounding 99.39% of members voted in favor of ratification.

This strike isn't about me; it is about honoring the women and men who came before me who built a strong union and to ensure that those PPG workers who come after me will have decent wages and benefits.

The PSFNA would guarantee workers the right to join a union, engage in collective bargaining, and sue in court to enforce their labor rights.
