Susan Watson, a vocal leader of the Detroit newspapers strike, was inducted into the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame in April.

Vincent J. (Jim) Tricoli, a longtime District 7 staff member, died March 7 at his home in Albuquerque, N.M., following a battle with cancer. He was 73.
