Join the CWA Next Generation in Pittsburgh This Summer!

Do you want to learn from some of the most creative activists in the economic and social justice movement, meet fellow young union members and experienced member-mentors from around the country, and develop mobilization skills to put into action in your area?

Then come to the CWA Next Generation Summit this summer in Pittsburgh!

Where: Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh
When: 2 pm, July 30th through 12 noon, August 1st

The 2014 Summit will bring together young CWA members and member-mentors as well as progressive allies from around the country to share ideas and develop strategies to build a powerful movement for change.

The Summit will be a mix of interactive workshops, trainings, inspirational speakers, and opportunities to network and socialize. We’ll explore a variety of issues crucial to Next Generation union members and mentors such as:

  • Organizing and bargaining rights
  • Immigration reform
  • Economic inequality
  • Job security
  • LGBTQ rights
  • Political activism
  • Health care for all

Registration for this three-day conference is only $25, but space is limited. We have reserved a block of rooms available to attendees at the discounted rate of $139 per night, but you must book by July 8th to get the discount.

The CWA Next Generation Program is a network of CWA members aged 35 and under and experienced member-mentors who are helping to build a movement for economic and social justice that addresses young workers’ unique generational concerns.
